Irmo High Senior Korynn’s session just couldn’t have been any better. Perfect weather, great locations, and a young lady that I personally found inspiring. Athletic, intelligent, very classy, and just downright beautiful, shooting Korynn was an absolute pleasure. And the best thing about her (well for me anyway) is that she is one of my two Senior Reps at Irmo High School.
With out further verbiage, the very lovely Korynn.
A little over six months ago we first met Madison in my Maternity shoot with Harry & Kristen. And she made her photo debut just a couple of weeks later.
We finally got together again last weekend for her 6 month Family Portrait session. What a wonderful young lady and family to spend an afternoon with!
Just a peek at some of the photos of the day.

Tiger is a great dog. And she’s going to do great things. You see, Tiger is going to be a service dog. She’ll be assisting someone who has lost their sight. As part of their training, these dogs are given to “foster” owners to raise for about a year of their lives and then they must give them up. If you’ve ever owned a dog, you know how deeply attached you can become. The end of this month is when Tiger has to go back.
When Tiger’s foster “mom”, Anna, left town for a vacation, her friends arranged for me to do a pet portrait session so that Anna would have a special memory of Tiger. She finally saw the photos when she got back into town. In her words to me, “THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! The pictures are SO BEAUTIFUL!!”
Shot in the lovely Irmo Town Park, here are a couple from the session.

As promised, here are a couple of images from Joye’s Bridal Portrait session. As an excellent calligrapher, Joye is something of an artist at heart so we shot a few images that were a little different than the usual “Southern Bride” portraits. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with those, love doing them. But this bride wanted a little “extra.”
In the end, she chose the second image below for her 16×20 canvas print to display at the reception. It was a tough choice too. For a little while she was leaning a bit toward a more traditional image. The artist in her won!

Can you guess who the Groom’s favorite team is?

A few months ago I shot the engagement photos of Randy and Joye. I also had the pleasure of shooting Joye’s bridal session. (Blog post to come…)
Theirs was a small, intimate wedding held at the lovely Jasmine and River Road Houses. Sometimes in a large affair, the little things can be lost in the greater complexity. Simplicity has a special beauty all its own. I like the increased time that I can spend with the bride and groom together. But all weddings have their unique stories. Some small, some large.
This is but a few photos of this South Carolina wedding. A quick story of a wonderful couple, and just a peek at whats to come.

How quickly time passes. It was May when I shot Justin and Courtney’s engagement session. They were as much fun at their wedding as they were that day in May. On August 23′rd we met again at the lovely, Riverland Hills Baptist Church. Add in the classic beauty of a ’57 Chevy as their chariot to the reception, and something special was bound to happen with this awesome couple.
A quick look at the day:
